I love my new cook book holder! It's beautiful!
I looked far and wide for a well-constructed, simple, sturdy and beautiful cookbook stand that would look both rustic yet polished/modern. This distressed pine cookbook stand with brass-colored rod was the perfect solution. I think it looks amazing, and the seller was very responsive. I also loved that the seller centered and highlighted the natural knot in this piece of pine, like a decorative accent — very cool!
My only note is that the wood smelled strongly of pine/wood treatment so I washed it with soap and water and let it sit under direct sunlight for a day (UV light bleaches and cleans the wood further), which lessened the scent considerably. It fits my cookbooks perfectly.

My husband got me two of Paul Hollywood’s cookbooks for our anniversary because he knew I wanted to learn how to bake. After my first attempt in which I learned how much counter-space I need to deal with dough, I finally decided to invest in a cookbook stand.
I turned to Etsy because I wanted a quality stand - something that would last a long time. (I like to invest in my home goods when I can.) This item popped up on my search & since we both liked the design, I immediately ordered it.
When the package arrived I could practically smell the wood shop! There’s stand is sturdy & well-made. Just holding it, I knew that it would last me years. The color is natural & style-wise it blends rustic & modern nicely. It also doesn’t take up too much space on the countertop.
My days of propping cookbooks up with flour jars are over!
